Receptionist – Lucky’s Bed & Biscuit

About the Role
Lucky’s Bed & Biscuit is looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our guests and their owners. This role is essential to creating a welcoming environment while keeping front-desk operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
Front Desk & Customer Service
- Greet guests and pet owners warmly, both in person and over the phone
- Answer calls, respond to emails, and assist with inquiries and appointment requests
- Provide a positive, informative, and supportive experience for every customer
Check-In, Check-Out & Records
- Check guests in and out accurately
- Ensure all forms, waivers, vaccinations, and payments are completed and recorded
- Maintain detailed and accurate records (reservations, feeding instructions, medications, special notes)
Scheduling & Communication
- Coordinate daycare, boarding, grooming, and training appointments
- Communicate clearly with Animal Care Attendants, Groomers, Shift Leads, and Management
- Share important updates and guest care instructions with staff and pet owners
Operations & Organization
- Process payments and retail sales using the POS system
- Keep the front desk, lobby, and office areas clean and organized
- Monitor inventory of front desk supplies and retail items
- Assist with administrative tasks and daily operations as needed
Customer Support
- Address questions and concerns with professionalism
- Escalate issues to management when appropriate
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and organized in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable interacting with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities and most domestic animal species
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Basic computer knowledge (scheduling systems, email, POS)
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs
Qualifications
- Previous receptionist or customer service experience preferred
- Passion for animals—especially dogs—is a must
- Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude toward pets and their owners
Work Environment
This role is based indoors at the front desk. Expect a lively environment with:

Reporting Structure
Reports to Shift Lead and/or Manager on Duty.
Compensation
Pay is based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.
